Trade option for a Bimmer

I am looking for opinions on a 2001 BMW 740i m Sport. I have the option to trade straight with someone local for this car. The car is black on black, very well maintained and has 100,000 miles. My understanding is that the sticker price for this car new is about $80,000. What is your opinion on this specific BMW? BMW's in general?

I am looking for something bigger, so this is VERY tempting.

LMK. Thanks guys. :)

I don't know much other than parts and repair costs will be insanely high.

BMW's are nice cars in general but there's really no such thing as a "bargain" BMW.

To say my point; an e36, 328i Sedan 5spd is my "dream" next car.

Although I will agree. They are comfy as fuck, but expensive to maintain.

I was once told by a BMW owner that they are awesome cars to own but trade them back in at 60,000 miles becase they are nothing but a "shop" car beyond that...
