New license plate...only one? 11/06 conclusion

I went in to pay for my tabs this week and was told I get a new plate (the flat faced plates). I didn't really think about it when she gave me only one plate as I also had to pay for tabs for our other car too.

When I think back, I'm pretty sure she said,"you get a new plate today." The numbers/letter are different too.

Has something changed? Did the lady screw up?

You get new plates every 7 years. I just got new ones for my Silver car when I went to get tabs this year also....

Someone screwed up --> http://www.dps.state.mn.us/dvs/PlBrochu ... eFrame.htm

Go back and bitch before they give you a ticket or make you pay for a second plate (~$15 IIRC).

Yeah, I had planned to get back there this week. I left the old plate on the front just in case I get pulled over on the way (hope it helps if necessary).

So, I get to the place, go in and tell the reception lady I only got 1 plate. She tells me that is impossible. I'm like no, I only got one. She says again, its not possible. Then she says they are very thin. I was like, well I'm going to go out to my car and check.

And then.....

Sure enough...two thin plates. I was like wtf. How could I have brain farted like this? So I went back in, gave her a thumbs up and a salute and left. When I got home, I pulled off the rear plates, and they were stuck together. They are very thin and perfectly flat, nothing like the previous old punched letter/number plates.

Oh well... :lol:

Yeah, if you can't laugh about it, you're taking life way to seriously. I was thinking about it today and just smiled. What a silly screw up. Oh well, par for the course. I've been forgetting a few things lately, been distracted. Anywho, gald to see you guys enjoyed a good laugh. It was worth telling it. :lol:
