Clutch Pedal Return Spring Broke

The clutch pedal return spring broke on my SVTF :x . I discovered this when my cruise control refused to work (because the clutch pedal wasn't returning fully to "home", and didn't depress the switch).
Anyway, what a pain! One end is attached to the end of the clutch pedal (easy to get at), but the other end is buried somewhere behind the clutch master cylinder that I just replaced a few weeks ago.
Anyway, I pried a couple of the loops apart at the end of the spring, and used a piece of wire to connect the spring to the clutch pedal. Not state-of-the-art, but functional. There's no way I was going to pull that master cylinder out again!

You could also use a zip tie to close the pin switch so it thinks the clutch is in rest position.

Having the spring in place is a good idea though.
