Tech says keep bushings, upgrade sways and springs...

Took my focus to Ford, tech says forget the bushings...they are fine. Tech recommended upgrading the stock sways to something bigger to minimize the play around the corners, thus minimizing the wiggling possibilities in the back. Also recommended different springs (stiffer).

So, I am thinking Eibach sways with SVT springs. Or should I get new springs and struts with the sways? I would assume the SVT springs would be an upgrade from the stock ST springs I have on. Plus, I already have the SVT springs and wouldn't have to buy them. Thoughts? I will be doing the suspension upgrades this coming Monday, pedning the parts coming in by then.

What would the difference be from the SVT springs? Better combo? Don't want to lower too much with the 18's on there...

Do you know what size my ST stock sways are? I think they are 19 and 21, but I am not sure. I am upgrading to 22 and 25mm Eibachs,,,hopefully they dont over-do it.

Eibach sways, on their way!!!! :D :D :D :D

I am going to do the SVT Springs for now, once the sways get here. I am expecting the handling to be extremely different once it is all installed.

Thanks for the advice 02, but the wife says I spent enough on the sways alone, she's not allowing new springs too.

Well, rock the SVT springs, and later on when you get bored of the ride height(hehe) and with enough miles need new struts, you can always upgrade to something else...

You'll like the new setup...

Why not get poly bushings while your at it.... Or do the sways come with them.

Sways come with them....for the sways. Not for the control arms and what-not.

Had the control arm bushings checked out by two techs, both said they were fine and didn't need the $1200 price tag of replacing them with poly's.
