Hey everybody. With summer coming around I'm kicking around my ideas for the focus this well...summer. haha. I've got my drop done, 5 spoke 17's, so i'm happy with that part of the car. Other cosmetics to come this summer will be a home depot lip, since I go to school in Grand Forks and I would scrape the shit out of a nice one, an ST grille and i might paint my headlight housings If i can get someone to help me with it. But anyways, onto my plans for the motor...
I'm thinking my Dad and I can fab up a custom CAI. I want to get a 65mm TB, the OBX duratec header, and a mild cam. I really don't know what my options are yet for cams but I'll figure that out as I go. Right now I just have a lunchbox delete for exhaust, so I'm gonna go with a 2.5''. I'm thinking either MBRP or a Tru-Bendz Magnaflow set up. I really want to do a flex back exhaust instead of a cat back, unless the power loss is really minimal. On top of it all I wanna get a tune on like 91 oct with an SCT or whatever. I figured I'd have it tuned at like DB or MAP or something around the cities. I'm thinking I could end up around 135-140whp maybe? What do you guys think? throw in your input or criticism, it's appreciated. :)

I would strongly suggest a Cosworth intake. One for sale here but not positive if he still has it viewtopic.php?f=5&t=4745

I would say that youe estimate of Hp is about right on.

You could be the next Great NA!! Sorry no pun intended on HonHon FF :?

get a coolflo, only $200. or you can dink making one, it's been done. i can help you out with the headlights (when i get another set back) and the TB (goitta find my wizard). i did my own TB and it turned out good, just got to change a few things. i have an SCT Xcal3. they are up there, but it really brings out the TB and did alot for the take off. sounds like we have the same plans there. i'm looking into exhaust, thinkingh bout a cam, not a pussy one (heard it'll drop mpg), and i'm kicking around a N20 setup  :o

If I'm not mistaken the ST grille is color matched, not chrome.

you are correct that the ST grille is color matched with the silver mesh. However if you have the street appearance package it is color matched with the black mesh

yes. the ST grill surround is color matched. i have the ST grill with a chrome surround. i got it from mnfocuss cause he bought a black surround assy. and put the black grill on the black ST surround. if you have the SAP you have no "surround" cause it's part of the bumper cover

These are the cams I plan on purchasing hopefully later this year. Requires basic in-out stuff, intake and exhaust. It would run best along with a tune, and would have a slight lope in the idle, but it'd sound sick.
