Cool project, I had a 1990 corolla. I beat the piss out of it, and it amazingly never broke, too bad toyota stop making good/fun cars in the mid 90's.

so i have had the car about one week now and have started working on the only bad rust spot on the whole car, Pass. rear door was repaird at some point and was kinda lousy workmenship and rusted right in the middle of the lower panel... so i sanded it down to the metal around the rust spot
so after alot of sanding and a rust removel wheel i put down a coat of rust rust inhibitor (the purple stuff in the middle there)
after more sanding its time for the filler...
and then even more sanding, and a second coat of body filler...
little more sanding and primer...
not bad for a first timer ...now i just need to learn to paint

You're kidding right? Toyota stopped making good cars in the mid 90's? What Toyota are you talking about because the Toyota I know will run forever.closetfordfan wrote:Cool project, I had a 1990 corolla. Nice progress on the car. Get a build thread going!

Doing good
As for painting its not all that hard to do. You could pick up a book at the book store. Its walks you thru all the steps.
