Well, I took the dive and bought the Piaa's. I'm not seeing too much night driving right now, so hopefully I get a full (next) winter out of them.

On FEOA (Escort page) Some people claimed these bulbs melted their wiring (Because they drew more amps) I don't know if there is ANY truth to it, but let us the results.

These are 60/55watt bulbs. They should be fine. If not, I'll update the thread and put in my Machs!

silverstars are the worst. i use eurodezins. they are bright and last 3 times longer then silverstars. plus they are cheaper and have a lifetime warranty. i have extra 9007s but those prolly aren't what you'r looking for.

I have the Piaa Super Plasma GT-X. Been in the car since '06. Haven't had an issue yet besides the wiring issue as noted above, but they are a higher wattage.

I'd say Piaa is well worth the money. Second in line if Hella, and if price is of concern Hella is no. 1. I have the Hella book here if you want to know part numbers for the higher wattage non-road leagal stuff.

But far as the Hella part # you'd want --> H83140081 (Xenon Premium Long Life), anything brighter and I'd say you will have to upgrade headlight pigtails.
