OK, sorry it took solong, but here are some pics. Finally!
The tires are 225-45-17. There a little wide for just ice, I was sliding around a bit yesterday before the roads were completly cleared. But on snow/ice I can walk up anything. My gf has a half mile long uphill curvy driveway, and I had no problems just going slow in second, with a couple inches of unplowed snow on top. All in all I think they were a great buy. I'll never run all seasons in the winter again

i'd prolly change my tune if i ever had some snow tires. don't look like much tread for snow tires. but glad you're happy.
ya, I've had both all seasons and snow tires on both of my foci, and hands down crappy snow tires are way better then brand new all seasons in any kinda snow.
I got a killer deal on these off E-bay, used with 8/32nds left, and already had the rims to mount them on, so in my mind its a win win.
I'll take some pics of the driveway I have to get up, then you guys will understand. lol

Studded tires were outlawed for road use in Minnesota way back in the seventies. I remember helping my grandfather pull the studs out of his winter tires because he wasn't about to throw out the tires just because the studs were outlawed.
I'm sure they'd be fun for ice racing on the lakes though.
