Came across this for sale item on the Contour forum I frequent. I've met Mike personally and he's a good guy (in Coon Rapids so local too) I figured I'd post it up here in case anyone was looking for one:

I have a brand new transmission still in the tub we received it in. It's for a 2.0L car so I do not have a use for it. They sell new for $500+

I would like to get $300+shipping OBO. If your in the area I would be willing to drive a little ways (no more then 50miles one way, unless you pay for gas) to meet you to save you the cost of shipping. I'll put up pictures tomorrow sometime.

Hey Redlineracer thanks for putting this post up for me.

Just figured I'd update this thread. Yes, as he mentioned above I still do have a 2.0L MTX-75 transmission brand new still in the tub with packaging. I'd be really interested in selling this locally as it would be much, much easier for me to deal with. I've had a few offers from people out of state, but shipping this thing has turned into much more of a hassle then I was anticipating.

I'm currently offering this transmission for $200 for pickup at my house or in the Coon Rapids/Anoka area and for a little more money $225 I'll meet you somewhere in the Twin Cities area. Preferably the Bloomington, Rosemount, Eagan, Apple Valley area.

If your interested please get a hold of me. Thank you.

Do you still have this? What year trans is it? I need a 2001-2002.5 MTX-75 for the Zetec.

Yea I still have it. Not sure what year it is for specifically though, it's a European spec trans, Ford engineering number 97ZT-7F096-AA (as stamped on the housing). We bought it from a guy over at CTA Motorsports about 2 years ago. I'll take some pictures and you can see for your self... give me a few minutes and I'll get them up on here.

Pictures as promised. Still in the green tub that it was shipped to us in along with original packaging. However I no longer have the lid. All the plugs are still in the trans and as you can see it has dust on the top of it from sitting in my garage for so long.

Hope this helps. Sorry for the long delay in the response... I've been dealing with some horrible repairs with my wife's 09 Mazda3. If any of you have any body damage... do NOT take it to Luther Collision & Glass in Brooklyn Park off of Hwy81 :x

There should be a tag riveted to the case somewhere as well thats got the actual ID number on it, I might be able to help ID it if you can get that.

That is a euro spec Mondeo transmission for a 2.0L Zetec; I might be able to use that by swapping the shift tower assembly and slave bearing/TO bearing, but I would have to check with Terry Haines (MTX-75 guru). I will hold off for now because I found a 2003 MTX-75 for $300, and I don't know what work is involved in getting your transmission to work in a Focus.
On the plus side, I am almost sure that trans you have has the 4.06:1 FDR from the factory.

It is a MTX-75, but that looks a lot different than the Focus MTX-75 in many ways.

Hey Steve. I looked it over and there is no tag that I can see

Only thing I can find is the stamping on the case that says the 97ZT-7F096-AA.

I found the ratios for the trans from this website here if it is from a Mondeo 2.0L

5th - - 0.81
4th - - 1.03
3rd - - 1.45
2nd - - 2.14
1st - - 3.42
Reverse - - 3.46
Final Drive - - 4.06
