Were you two practicing Rally or something? There is a story behind that...

woh, that avatar is waaay to distracting
just got a call from the adjust, he's still figuring it out. i hope it ain't, my agent didn't put new car replacement on it. it was really slick on the roads out there. was going round a curve sliding to the pass side then it kinda felt like it gripped in the front and jerked it sideways. i knew it was going to happen at some point, he's a new driver. i was in the pass seat, good thing the side airbags didn't go off. i got a 08 as a rental till its fixed. we had to call the popos out there too
just for the record, we were not messing around in the snow, the e-brake was not "ripped" besides, that wouldn't work. no we weren't practicing rallying.

from what i see: Fender, door (skin and all), lower A pillar, rocker panel, looks like the floor pan is dented in, fuel lines, brake cable, and whatever that is in the front. i dunno what that was on the ground, looked like gas but had no smell.

if the hydrant would have stayed the car might have been drivable (more damage) and we could have went bout our business

they say it's a total at $4700. they say the value of the car is $5300. he asked if he wanted to leave it there or have it towed to a holding place. i told him to leave it, i'm not taking a total on it, not loosing $8000.

So did the fire hydrant spray into the air like on TV. My guess is no. The valve is probably four feet in the ground to prevent freezing. Stupid TV.

so i talked to the total loss guy today. he sent me all the crap they have. i looked over it and they are way off. they found the lowest mile car to compare it to, and they missed a few of the options on my car and docked the value for it. plus they got an average of all ZX3s out there for sale (about $12000 across the board). trhe way i did some math my car needs to gain $1500 in value to not be totaled. done, i can take care of that "previous damage" they are so hung up on just by putting parts back on it. also looking thru the "papers" it's going thru everything. if i was going to sell it i'd vacumm the floor and wash it and have the matching rims on it, plus the parts. the maintanacne is per my warrenty and fords requirments. they are looking at it like i'm TRYING to sell it to them. i want it back, i like it.
i also talked to my bank. they have a value of $11,300. they said they won't release the lean for the $5400 thay are offering. they said they would take less then the loan and value, but not a third. and no they won't take it and demand the rest up front.
iu guess i gotta call this dink back and talk bout value again, and see if i can save iit from salvage... sorry, i'm just kinda rambling now

Maybe the brother in law can help float some of this since he was the one that did the damage...hmmm?
