SC -VS- Turbo

So I want to go turbo, but been thinking it might be better for a Supercharger. The SC would be cheaper, easier to put in, less problems but wont be able to make as much power as a turbo. So my question is what do you guys think would be the best route and why.
I know this topic has been beat 10FT under a few times.

i think the sc will be plenty from the sounds of it people have trouble puting the power down so more wont do any good.

Supercharge

Tubo's great for tons of power but that damn spool and lack of low end can be brutal.

SC will give you instant throttle response and a broader power band.

I can't wait for a SC kit for the duratec's

this advice is coming from a former Twin Turbo V6 owner.... and I'd do terrible things to get that car back.

I just think on this small of a vehicle, SC is the way unless you're just going for number.

we all have the problem..its the FWD. I had tasted both foci with SC or Turbd. SC doesnt have the turbo lag so it has a good low end torque but once the turbo spooled, the fun begins. i would say anywhere from 250-300whp is good enough. i made about 280 hopefully by now on my srt4 and dang i cant hook..

I have the JRSC+BBK, and probably put down about 220WHP (although it hasn't been dyno'd). It is civil, has great torque at all speeds, is instantly responsive - and powerful. With the stock Contis I cannot floor it in 1st gear - even from a rolling start at 15MPH (I also have the C-F-M Rear Engine mOunt, so wheel hop in non-existant). It will just bake 'em! More ponies are always nice, but you need to get the power to the pavement. You get to a point of diminishing returns. Ease of installation, reliability, user-friendliness, and civility are all huge considerations. You don't want something that is quirky, high maintenance, constantly generating check engine lights, etc.
My 2¢.

I agree the turbo will make more power hands down, but I would have to worry about my intake and connector boots blowing out and so on. The SC replaces all that, that means I dont have a dual runner intake, will that effect much? I'm just stuck decieding what to do

Well, as you know, I have the turbo, and love it. Also, have the duratec, (so there weren't any options anyway.) It hasn't had any issues, and this lag people speak of, it ain't what it used to be.
