When a car is on the dyno what gear do they get the hp and tq numbers from? So for example if a car has 300hp and 300tq what gear is that in? My roomate and I didn't know.

What ever gear is closest to a 1:1 ratio. On our cars its 4th, but you have to dyno it in 3rd if you have no chip, because of the speed limiter.
