Carnage pics!

I got the engine and tranny out tonight (thank god) and took a couple pictures after I zipped most of the stuff off the block. I've posted them up here for all to see. I plan on pulling the whole thing apart and taking some more pictures. I figure I'll leave those up as a warning to those using a CAI in the rain with no protection.

As an aside: I shined my light in the ports and all the valves look straight. We'll see how they look when the head's off, but I don't expect any damage to the head itself. It looks like the #2 rod took the brunt of it, so I may well just keep the head to port somewhere along the line.

That's the miracle of hydrolock right there. I wish I could say that happened because I was running 500hp through the stock internals, but no such luck. I had a CAI and it sucked in a bunch of water into #2. After pulling off the head it's kind of looking like the rod may have bent enough to snap it or something. The piston in that cylinder is at deck height. Like I said before, I'll be taking more pictures and posting them as I get the chance.

I've currently got the new engine bolted into the mounts and just have to put everything else back in place. I'm hoping to finish up the swap sometime tomorrow so I can drive it to work on Monday.

I'd say it was probably 3-5", but it's hard to say for sure.
