My intake, Part 3

So I redid the intake on my SVT again, this time with an AEM dryflow filter.
I still need to run the cold air duct from my lower grille but I think this setup looks pretty good and seems to function quite well.
I'll probably be painting the silver tube black to match the rest.

that looks like the same tubing I am using. I've got a bunch of sections left, let me know if you want something so you can route it all the way down. no cost, just pick it up. You've saved me so much damn money as it is!

I really do appreciate the offer but I don't want the filter too low.
I'm just a bit overcautious about sucking up water with a low mounted CAI, A couple years ago I went through some rather deep water under a bridge and if I had been running a low mount CAI I would have killed my car for sure.
I may still play with it a bit though, I have some spare tubing as well just not the variety you've got.

well, running right there you WILL get significant heat soak when at stoplights and such. I noticed CONSIDERABLE power-loss after sitting for 10+seconds when my filter was located in the same spot. after the cold air setup, I have NEVER experienced the same power loss. so.. unless you can make a heat shield which will draw air from a fresh source, you will have some serious heat soak issues. just a heads up. I was very irritated with my lack of power at stoplights and intersections with my short ram setup w/o a shield.

You know what? I probably could use a couple of the long bent tubes.
The stuff I have is kind of limited and those might work out for trying a lower mount location. If it does make a noticeable difference I may leave it low.
Let me know how we could arrange it and I'll see when I'm available.
