I have the 65mm zetec TB. i brought this up before but I think I know what the problem is. basically the issue is my RPM can shoots up on random basis or idles at 2.5K because the TB plate didnt close tight enough. to me it seems like the plate is rubbing against the TB wall because everytime i starts up I have to tap the pedal first before i can get going so I THINK it might need some sanding to smoothen the edge abit.

Don't sand the plate, There should be an adjustment screw for the throttle stop. Just turn the screw a bit so the plate stops a bit sooner.
If theres no screw you can use a bit of tape or rubber hose to "adjust" the throttle stop.

I've tweaked around with the throttle stop and that didn't help or it could be me thats not adjusting it right enough.I can try it again later since I already took it apart and replace it with another same kind TB and the replacement works flawlessly.
