FSVT front brakes

Got my FSVT front brake rotors installed about a week ago and figured I'd post a picture up here for Steve to see ;)

Those are Stock 03 FSVT wheels as well

This was using a set of adapting brackets that allow us contour guys to move the caliper out far enough to squeak in that bigger rotor.
278mm->300mm

Edit: My stock Contour SVT front rotors (278mm) will be going to the rear of the car but not this week I've got enough other stuff to do.

$300 bucks roughly for the entire set (front and rear)... Cheaper than big brakes though! I also picked up SS lines and brand new pads all the way around.

I got them in a Group Buy but now the guy on our forum stocks them.

is it just me or wat, but that rotor looks weird.......... on the top looks like the rotor not evenly round....?

I'm not trying to be a hater at all, but does this give any performance gain? I'd assume with the same pad size, you're not going to gain much.

Talk to Bob about his rears. Yes there is a gain.

No, I know what you mean. I don't thing the pad size on the focus is much bigger anyhow, but the important fact is that you are moving the caliper/pad out farther from the center of the wheel. So really the gains are all in the leverage, like how big wheels hurt braking performance.

Any full car shots? Did you dyno last year at dB?

Yeah I wasn't at ground level completely I was just crouching... I was the one who dynoed last year at DB.

No "good" full car shots with the brakes yet. I still need to do the rear brakes and then get it cleaned up and finish painting the rest of my calipers before I take any full car pics :D

He did, that was with the original motor. Now he has that slightly nasty built 3L.

I would assume that the larger circumference means less heat buildup as well since the braking surface area on the rotor is larger than a rotor of smaller circumference. Thus longer distance to travel per revolution, more time to cool, more area to dissipate heat from the rotor and less chance of the pads performance deteriorating do to excessive heat transfer from rotor to pad.
