Don't boost it if you want fuel economy.

If you are looking for a RWD car that is going to be bought for the fuel economy, then a blown Mushtank wouldn't be my first choice. Especially since you would more than likely have to use premium gas, and loose economy too boot. Not sure what Honda you are thinking about having RWD...the S2000?

If I had to buy a car for fuel economy, I would look into the VW with TDi. My sister-in-law had one and until its death at the hands of a moron that couldn't understand what a big red sign with 8 sides and white letters spelling STOP meant, was a great car. By the way, she was T-boned by a 82 Chev pickup and walked away unhurt but the car was totaled.

I have some friends that have the 2.0 Turbo WRX and they are getting around 25city 30mpg on the highway. If it was up to me, I would give the Soob some serious thought as the AWD can't be beat in our winter months when comparing it to any RWD car made.

Hell, if I had the money, I would be all over the new WRX with the 2.5T engine.

Cheers,
Tim
