FUCK FUCK!!!!! shit, i was heading to work on 52 south, when all of the sudden i hear a clunking sound, so i slowed down and headed towards the shoulder then, BAAAAAAAAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i was like shit maybe one of my tires popped!!!! but NOOOOOOOO..... the damn CAI fell off and got ran over by acouple of cars!!!!!! FUCK!!!!!!! that's wat i get for a cheap CAI!!!!!!!!!! i had to grab it and head back home... had to use a call in work sick for the day... FUCK!!! anybody got an SVTF intake they can lend me or sell for cheap..? well enjoy the pix!!!

that sucks....time to get the true CAI i supposed. I heard some bad/good stuff off ebay so its kindda mixed review..

how did it just fall off???
if it's tightened down it should hang on as well as any other...
maybe the engine's movement caused it to break loose?

I agree, if properly installed it shouldnt just fall off, no matter how cheap it is.

hahahaha, tru, but i am positive that thing was hung on reeeal tight! just an hr. ago i checked my engine bay and the clamps were still on tight!!! pretty confusing.... i had that thing install for a while now, and how it just slipped off a tight clamp, i just dont know...... well i'ma be off to cali tomorrow evening, so i wont worry about it til i'm back...... still straight up SUX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mars, a nice car like yours should'nt have a fucked up cheap ass intake anyway! Stillz has a stock SVT intake for sale.

BTW, did that filter look like before it fell off? Or did it get like that after people ran it over?

hahaha yea i know i shoulda bought a tru brand name CAI.... and yea i think it turned out like that after acouple people ran it over and flying all over the freeway............ oh and i got my stock intake in parts wit missing bolts hahah LOL.... i'm not gonna mess wit it now, i'ma park it in the garage as of now til i get back from cali....

sounds like an installation issue. I've had my ebay cai on for a year and several thousand miles, and it hasn't fallen off at all.

seriously it cant be an installation issue, i think it just slipped off..... the clamps and rubber piece that holds the two peices together are still on the car real tight...... i drove around yesterday wit no filter, and checked it again, guess wat the clamps and rubber peices are still together.... i'll try to get a pix of the clamps up before i leave....
