Tired of sliding on the roads.(what size rims for winter?)

I'm finally tired of sliding all over the roads when it snows.

I'm going to be dropping by a junk yard to try to fetch some rims, but the question is, what size?

I'm just going to take em someplace and get snow shoes thrown on them, what is a good size for winter?

I have the stock 205/50/R16s on right now, should I just stick with 16" rim? or should I drop to 15" for the snow shoes?

Any junk yard will work right? I'm in Shakopee and they have one right on 212 there.

Thanks,
-Nick

Smaller is better for winter as it cuts through the snow better. Get 15's if at all possible.

I love my 15's but I need to get rid of them soon, let me know if you want em(15" Stockers with Winter tires)

I am getting the SVT brake setup and you have to go with 16" or larger with the SVT Brakes

Tall and skinny is the win.

thats right. thats what you want. so your tires can sink down into the snow and ice and grip the ground under it, and play with the tire psi. a little to it helps too. i learned that from being a rally freak.

Dump those stock junkers for some real all season performance tires and you will be just fine. Check out the tire rack's ratings for snow/ice.....
