Right now, I'm 50/50 on going. I did'nt think it would be soooo far away. But, it would be fun. And I was planning on going.

One more prob is its in March. I was'nt planning on getting my car out of storage till mid-late March. Maybe the Kona will make the trip?? LOL

ehhh, with the problems I'm having with the fuel, I doubt I'll prob take Chromie down. It pisses me off to no end. But the other way to look at it, I did'nt want to put all those miles on her anyway... I'm prob gonna plan on taking my Kona. Which will handle great, but it won't have the power for the roadcoarse...

So...whos planning on going?

I am 99% sure I am going to go. I just hope I get a set of rims with azeni's before then.

I have a friend that just moved out to Corona about a half hour away from the California Speedway. And already talked to a couple friends here that want to make the trek out to see him and do some surfing. So spliting the bill will help alot on the trip there and back. Another bonus I'll finaly get to visit VEGAS, I might spend a day there alone! Its to early now to start making arangements with matt in Corona but I may be able to get a few people a free place to stay that weekend if any one is interested. So with that being said I'll start making arangements end of Jan. start of Feb. and let eveyone here know whats going on.

booo

i'm actually a little mad about this. Obviously you can't make everyone happy, but I think this is crap. Its not even the driving distance that bothers me.

1. Cali already has FOTB, which everyone hear Cali already goes to. We 'have' FOTF, but its not nearly as big or cool
2. Its held freaking during school. I probably can't cut out a week of classes (half for the drive down, half for the drive up)

I dunno, I just kept hearing how kickass Jetfest2 was gonna be, and honestly, I think its not gonna be as good.

Agreed, the location is Piss poor at best.

If you already have an event as large as FOTB, do NOT hold another event there. My opinion it's complete bull shit.

Run it at a different track. If they want it on that coast, put it out in washington state or something.

only thing is it looks like FOTB is taking next year off, and that the event coordinators for both will be working together on this event. it looks like we could make a kcikass group trip out of it. I wouldnt mind taking a bit of time off and having a really fun trip

I really want to go. The last vacation I took, was lasts years JetFest. So I really want to go. And I'll have the vac. time for it. I just don't want to roll all by myself... :(

I understand both sides of the problems. But Ron got a sweet deal to run at the track for cheap(if not free?), so he took it. There is always next year, but since alot of people put up a fuss, Ron will either a.) Have JetFest 3 on east coast or more central again, or b.) Not have one at all cuz a bunch of people are afraid to drive anywhere, and bitched alot about it.

I guess I'm not too worried about the trip, cause what will it harm? I get out of Minnesota, and see half the country. The only prob I'll have is, the car I'm forced to take, does'nt have cruise...

So don't worry....don't worry. I'm not about to do, what you think I'm gonna do......and FREAK OUT! But all I wanna know is, whos coming with me? Whos coming with me man?!

o2: don't you realize how many fucking stops you'll have to take? Especially with a focus? I'm use to road tripping it to colorado all the time for ski trips. We usually take my dad's tahoe for the trip. Two stops on the way out there and thats it. its roughly 1100 miles one way, your damn near doubling your stops with a focus.

From Denver its another 1100 miles give or take a few hundred to LA.

so 2000 to 2300 miles one way, about 9.2 stop if you go 250 miles per tank. Granted it'd be a fun trip and all but fuck I was looking forward to this, first its WAY too fucking early in the year. and second its fucking in Cali.

Oh well guess i'll just give up on doing anything fun anymore with the focus clubs and become an onld grumpy asshole ;)

PS.... If your taking the route I am thinking your taking, which will take you right through the mountains (I - 70) through devner and utah and all that. Pray to god you don't get snowed out, march is the snowyest month of the year in the rockies. And dont' forget about the sehra neva's you've got to go through those as well and they close those mountains all the time in march.
