No just buy and install this in place of one of your rubber couplers on your intake. No worries then

it was just spash from the road. by the time the air gits to yer maf its hot enough to dry it out. i checked with my scann tool even wit the cai your intake temps after warmup should be around 80-120 degrees. but a bypass on a svt may not be a good idear ive head that the flaps cant handle the suck from the svt motor, granted vacume is vacume, but if you were to try to choke of the motor by hand over throttle methode the svt sucks a hell of alot harder(keep yer mind out the gutter!!!) than the zx3 ztec. it will colaps the bypass flappers anf suck through the bypass ( air right off the header, and motor= hot) your better off fabing a plate or sheild to dirrect and protect.

This is the exact reason I don't trust these lower piped filters. I'm sure alot of people go without any problem, but I'd be teh one that gets fucked...

Thats why I never used those pieces of shit. Over priced "convert your motor into a water pump" hax.

This is why my filter is up behind my headlight instead of down behind the bumper.
I don'r think you need to worry about it unless you submerge it though.

sally!!!!!!!! make a sheild. a tube dose not add power!!!!!!!! and no reasone to spend 200 bucks on a couple sections of alum. tube that cost 2.00 a foot.

a well placed sheet of alum. and some pop rivits and 3m tape trust me no one will see it and it will help force air up in the tube and keep rain out.....now 3 feet of standing water, yer on yer own.
