ok, so my car is barely moving...and all signs are pointing to the clutch. Does anyone have a cheaper option than going to the ford dealership. I love this damn car but she's not being very good to me lately.

I have untill the 14th of this month to be here for something like that. If anyone has the knowhow, space, and tools to do that sort of job I would pay for food, beer, and $500 or so for the job.I wonder If I could buy one of those extended worrenty plans and then use that.... I'm so f*cked :(

If you want I know the tranny guy at my work (Stillwater ford) takes side jobs. You want me to see what he'd charge for labor to do it and if he has the time? Would you get the clutch yourself or would we need to get that? Let me know.

if you could find out that stuff for my that would be great. I don't know yet if I would need a clutch from him or if I could get one here fast enough myself. Thanks for youre help!

Also, does anyone have a trailer or a small flat bed to tow a car that I could use? I tried moving my car to the back of the house by the garage and I could have pushed the thing there faster..so it's not safe for me to limp my car to were ever it needs to go.

Do you have tow insurance? If not add it, then tow it. It's SOOOO worth it. He also has the time for you. Whats your #?

If you want the name of a reputable local independent shop you can check out Wildwood service over in Mahtomedi (about three miles from Tousley) Talk to Wes or Steve.

I would let Wildwood work on my car, Wes is a real mechanic not a "tech" He used to run SCCA formula V and he has been around a long time.

Another pretty good shop is Precision automotive on Buerkle road, a couple of the guys there used to be Ford techs.

I found a trailer so I could bring it were-ever. Could you ask him if he has (or could get the parts for a clutch. I'm really hoping I could find a place to get the clutch fixed before the 14th :? Let him know that I could pay him extra to get it done by then.
