Congratulations, This is your first right?
Ignore Nils, I had my son at the race track in July in 100 degree temps when he was 11 months old and we were camping in a tent.
We had a green wash tub filled with water for him to play in and stay cool. My wife is great about stuff like that.

Yup its our first. But dont think the wife would ever let me take her our to a race or anything like that right now. Maybe more towards 1 year old or something, hell she wont even take the kid with her to the store.
but she is great, I wouldnt trade anything in the world for her.

Both of mine learned at a real early age to wear ear protection at the track, they have their own red earmuffs in Grandpas car trailer so they are always there for them.
They also know not to walk out in front of a racecar or across any of the roads without looking VERY carefully.
Both of mine have been around the track at Road America, BIR and Blackhawk farms.
