Don't ever try to talk about your mods, or the dyno you use if it isn't what they want to hear. I'm not even gonna bother responding.... fucking dumbass's

I am interested in you saying that the dyno has a variance of 15%, maybe they can better explain it:) Tomarrow as long as nothing happens to my shit box.

I'll get you a link of shane (minnesota best honda/dsm tuner, who owns DB Perf, and was Elites tuner) talking about it on MNSC later tonight.

Here's some exerpts. I guess it is 11.5% according to him talking about it.
"We came up with the 11.5% correction for DJ after testing a bunch of cars that had dynoed at Elite and Hi-Tech on their Dynojets. The 11.5% should be a conservative estimate. No correction is perfect though. Back when I worked at Elite, it wasn't uncommon to see a 10whp difference on the same car with no changes between the 248 model Dynojets in town.
I don't think you are going to see anywhere near an 8% difference between the normal DD numbers and the Mustang dyno that Ron has. It is hard to compare to Mustang dynos because they are often calibrated very differently from one to another. Ron's reads low, while other shops like Sound Performance have theirs calibrated to read like a Dynojet."
Here's some more info:
My buddy Her's evo: All the bolt ons, tuned, at 18psi on 93 octane: 280hp
Shannons CL, Bolt ons, 125 shot: 217hp
Tony's SVT contour with all bolt ons, and was tuned on 93 octane: 170hp
I just have really high ass numbers. I don't know why.... It sure pisses focaljet peeps off....

I am scratching my head about some of what the focus here pulled on that dyno, honestly...but then again, I am used to seeing numbers from a dyno jet, but, in all honestly, if you're going to compare a car based on hp/tq numbers, they should both be run on the same dyno...
Either way, I am still looking forward to what my shit box can do.

I know, when he starts arguing with me I corner him.
I cornered him on the great oil filter debate, he said don't use wix, they are junk, my blood pressure jumped, he is a tool and a focus sport tool. For some one with 25k posts, he should have more knowledge...

All the car info I posted, those where their numbers off that dyno. Google the dyno dynamics dyno. It is the newest top of the line dyno. It is so far the best and most accurate dyno for tuning and real world hp numbers at the wheels. Dyno Jets are ok tuning tools, but their numbers are way to high, dyno jets read closer to crank hp #'s, than actual real world at the wheels numbers.
To get the 11.5% shane, dynoed a bunch of cars at elite, then drove them over and dynoed the same day. To compare to see how low his reads. IE) How he came up with the rough 11.5% dyno dynamics being lower than a dyno jet.
No, Shane is not WRX shane. Shane from DB, is "ecoli" he has a 10 sec white 2nd gen eclipse.
