Any Duratech powered hot rods out there?

Seems most everyone around here is running Zetec. I'm looking to upgrade my little 2.0 duratech and was wondering if anyone around town has any duratech mods they'd like to show off. Header, cams and some X-cal tuning are on the wish list but I have to keep the sound down and it still has to get me to work on time everyday.

Well, if you don't want a lot of noise, and, you remove your cat, add in a resonator. Once you add in a CAI or cams, the exhaust will get louder. Remove the cat, it will get louder. Put in solid motor mounts, the whole car will get louder.

I have not done any performace yet on my 05 ZX5 SES, but Cosworth parts are great and Focussport Seems to be a great place to get parts! From what I have been told, the 2.3 duratec and 2.0 duratec use the same external parts as far as bolt ons are concerned

...I wouldn't use focus fanatics as a reliable source for anything IMO...

I have seen SOO much mis-information over there its not even funny...and, be careful with the how-to's, there are a hand ful I would never recommend to anyone...

I prefer focaljet, the info seems to be more dead on, but, always second guess anything you see on any forum...

But, I also only look into the zetec stuff, just giving a heads up.

My Borla cat back is a great system (and a great price thru Tousley as it's a FRPP part). That and the CAI added a nice sound and a very noticable boost in performence. I planned on keeping it quiet so if I added a header I would also add another resonator. Cossi stuff is spendy. Marcy might be having a group buy of cosworth stage 1 cams in the near future on the focaljet site. He's the only place I found that does X-cal tunes for 89 octane. All the others are premium only. This is a great motor but's it's still new as far as performence parts go.

How much was the exhaust from Tousley?

I think it was $380? Better check with Steve, he probably knows off the top of his head. Whatever it was it was well under the FRPP list price. It's a really nice full stainless steel system.
