actually no boost, and yeah im running stock injectors, no im looking for a mafs because mine keeps making a noise when it idles it does it often on i dont know why but i heard that the sensors are pretty sensitive. because i stuck a intake cone on my factory intake but it wasn't secure so it was moving so i just got me a short ram air intake and stuck a exaust tip on. so i might just need a new stock mafs or im going to upgrade the mafs

Do not buy a new one. Go to check and pick up a can of MAF cleaner or just Quick Dry Electircal cleaner take it out and clean it. It cant hurt trying that first. Trust me its worth trying.

There's no reason to buy an upgraded MAFS without boost.

Also if you buy an upgraded maf and running stock injectors, without a tune your car is going to run like shit!!!! MAFs and injectors and calibrated for each other and if you run a bigger maf that has a different voltage patter than the stock one your just askin for trouble.

Clean it first, see if that works, if not, just buy a new STOCK one from steve.

The only sounds that could come from your maf is a leak or the sounds of fire. and you woudl see the fire i am sure. so that leaves a leak. take a little carb cleaner and spray around the maf sensor o'ring area. if the idle jumps (have the car running). you have a leak, go to local farm supply store and get the proper o'ring and replace. then clean that maf sensor so it is good as described by others here.
