BOYCOTT TIRES PLUS

I recently purchased a XB and through the dealership I was able to go to Tires plus (Burnsville) and select wheels for the vehicle. I choose the Motegi FF7 in gloss black with a machined lip. When I saw the wheels on the car they were gunmetal. I called tires plus and told them what was wrong, they told me the wheels dont come in black...hahahahaha BLACK was on display at the shop, and YES black was not listed in the "book" but when you call gloss black IS offered in that wheel. After two days of arguing tires plus basically told me i was stuck with the wheels because they were already moutned and now not returnable!!!! HHMM I find a problem when I order something and dont get what I ordered and then am told TOOO BAD. Any who, after the test drive we also noticed the wheels were rubbing in the rear, Tires plus response to this was "because the vehicle was modified" (lowered on 1 1/2") that is causing the wheels to rub in the rear.. can someone explain how a fully stationary piece will cause wheel rub when a vehicle is lowered... Anyway after two days me and Toyota went to Discount Tire where we were VERY pleased with the service we got and how quick is was to find out that the REAL problem was that Tires Plus ordered the incorrect wheel backspacing for the vehicle. I DO NOT RECCOMMENED TIRES PLUS TO ANYONE from this experience. If any of us work there I am sorry to bash your company .....
PS.. JUSTIN I had to go with chrome again!!!!!!!!!!!!

no i dont blame you , i work at a tires plus... most of the poelpe there are fing retards! if you want good service you should go to a dealer,, i had to go work at tires plus because every one wants there crap done for free!!!!!" the dealer costes too much

im sorry to break it to you but you get what you pay for.. if you want a booger lip working..sorry hacking its way around your car you dont pay as much, if you want a highly trained professional working on your car you pay for the training, experiance, and quality parts.... the only differance is if you find a store with ase cirtifided techs...but still dosint mean they know what they are doing... if a store says they know what the offset is, and dont use a tool to measure, tell them to stop!, put my car back to gether!, I dont want you slobs touching my ride!... i know the rims we have them in black hanging on the wall!

i have multiple tires plus stories that almost all of them end poorly. The only decent one I've ever been to was Duluth's tires plus. Discount Tire on the other hand always seems like it has more favorable stories.
Anyways, post pics of the ride man!

I got a fairly bad tires plus story, my dad's 97 mercury sable was at the one in White Bear Lake not to long ago, it was getting new tires, an oil change and tire rods or something done. Well lets just say there must have been more than one person working on it cause the car went in there with oil, but came out with none!. Therefore when they took it for a test drive the engine seized up. So they put a new engine in there for us that took a month or so, but hell we only had to pay for the oil change. Fine work!

Lol, you just proved why I do my own work.
When I need new tires, I used to throw the rims in my bro's s10 and drop them off at wal-mart and let them morons do it, I took my old tbird to the local tires place here in town to have some tires swapped from 1 set rims to the other, the cock fired up my car, noticed the v8 exhaust note, rev'd it a few times, brought it into the shop, and, did a fucking brake stand
I tried to stay cool, I was livid.
Then, on the way out, the fuck is messing with the system, fucker's bumping my shit!
I was just lit up...
I didn't say anything though, as, it was the only place that would move the tires around on the wheels at that time, everyone else was like "no openeings 'til next week" and it was right before going to work.
I believe idiocy in general runs ramped everywhere.

see i would of done the burn out on the asphalt where you can get the tires really hot!!! i know the kind of people you are talking about, cus well i work wit them, im incharge sorta of some younger men, and i tend to teach them how to look profesional but im not there all the time. i wish i could start my own shop, i wouls so run it the old fashion way, like my great grampa kasye, he would serve breakfast to the mornin customers and kept beer in the cooler.
