I am picking up a set of ford racing 5 spoke tunner wheels friday. Ford states you need a spline lug set to use with these tuner wheels. As far as I can see you get chrome valve stems, crome lug nuts, and locking lug nuts. I know the lug nuts are 12mm X 1.5mm but what is speacial about these rims that they need a different lug nut? What style of lug nut is used? If I can buy a regular set of lug nuts there is know way I'm paying $100 bucks for fords lug set.

Well, if it's any help I can do the FRPP tuner lugs for $84.00 but I would have to order them for you.
I did a little checking and I think the reason you need the tuner lugs is because of the very small size of the lugnut openings in those wheels.
The tuner lugs will work with the FRPP SVT wheels, but the stock lugs won't fit the tuners.

I was directed towards Gorilla lug nuts and found a set that will work. And they are a third of the price, I will give these a try. If they don't work I will defenitly give you a call steve for the kit.
