Pappy couldn't take him with his 220whp Focus so I don't see a basically stock Si getting anywhere near him.

It's only like a few hundred pounds heaver. All that turbo stuff is heavy. :) But dimensionally.. its almost the same as the SI.

Yeah, its not any bigger then a SI really. Its perfect size IMO.

And yeah, it is alittle heavier, VW's have never known to be lightwieght. But there is no rattles, no squeaks, knocks down 35+mpg every tank and runs like crazy. LOL

Atfirst glance it appeared to be a passat. So I though it was the bigger car.

35+MPG. AWESOME. What year? How many miles? 5-speed? 6-speed? Maybe I should look at a VW... The wife is tired of all the cars I have had though. Since the Focus ST, I had a 2000 Impala, a 1993 F-150, a 2002 Outback, a 1996 F-150. Yes. I know I am crazy. I like the Honda though.

The reason I didn't consider VW this time was because there is no VW shop up here in Duluth. I really wanted a 6-speed that would get good mpg, and still be fun to drive. The Si fell in the right price range and is very roomy when you are 6'5" 280lbs. Plus, the Honda dealer is huge...it's a 6 speed and it is very fun to drive.

I looked at a Jetta Tdi at one point, but it wasn't nearly as roomy as the honda was. The honda beat nearly every car I tried in interior driver space and comfort. The prius was close, but the thing was a slug. It barely moved.

Why so hung up on the 6-speed?

Nice car Scotty, I like the color. I'm not really a honda fan, but I had a 2009 EX loaner for a weekend and it was a very nice car, I wish it had been an si though. What do you think of the split gauges, it took me a little while to get used to but I liked it once I got used to it.

35+MPG every tank? Do you get 40+ ever? Considering this car for myself, civic staying with the wife. Drove a 2006 6-speed GTI today (AWESOME), but I would like the Jetta for the space. Let me know on the MPG. Thanks Kyle.

Would prob. get the auto though. Wife hates manuals. Cosidering a 2006 - 2007 GLI.
