I would really like to have this problem solve, I keep getting past by EVO's and STI's
Shouldnt I gain performance with a performance upgrade?

if you cleaned the maf and it still does it that means the maf is not right, and or not dirty. it only hapens at WOT, if it was a fuel pump it would have a shit ton of lean misfire codes(wich it didnt). i know you have fuel, i know you have spark, but do you have air? its still a engine, it still operates off of suck, squish, bang, exhale. and steve the only way i can discribe the symtom is, pulls hard till 5500 rpm then loses all tourqe and bounces off the rev limiter, only at WOT. if you were to roll in the throttle you can go to red line. in the back of my head is the idea of the pcm knows what calc engine load should be for a certain rpm and with 11lbs of weight gone it is messin with the engine load.

Got it fixed finally
it was the fuel pump
put the upgraded pump in, and Steve it fit right in place, everything bolted right in.
Yeah my old pump filters were brown a mucky both in the pump and on the out side, the pump also had dirt and some plastic in it. It runs like a top now
faster than it use to befor the problem.

We know now that it was the pump but think about your engine load theory.focinite wrote:if you cleaned the maf and it still does it that means the maf is not right, and or not dirty. it only hapens at WOT, if it was a fuel pump it would have a shit ton of lean misfire codes(wich it didnt). i know you have fuel, i know you have spark, but do you have air? its still a engine, it still operates off of suck, squish, bang, exhale. and steve the only way i can discribe the symtom is, pulls hard till 5500 rpm then loses all tourqe and bounces off the rev limiter, only at WOT. if you were to roll in the throttle you can go to red line. in the back of my head is the idea of the pcm knows what calc engine load should be for a certain rpm and with 11lbs of weight gone it is messin with the engine load.
If that were the case then everyone with an aluminum flywheel would have this issue and if you go a bit farther you would have to assume that if the PCM was working that way you could confuse it by simply adding a couple passengers to the car.
If it hadn't been the pump I was going to lean towards a PCM issue but thankfully it's fixed.

Congrats on the fix! Although with the string of issues you have been having it seems you opened a can of worms, hopefully you'll get to the bottom of the can soon...KRYPTO wrote:yeap, now just need to fix the passanger windowit works when it wants now?

Yeah I do know. It was super close but it just feels like mine isn't running up to par. I will be putting a IMRC in soon and mine doesn't shift very easy, sometimes doesn't even go into 2nd or 3rd

Don't rush your shifts and get a tune, a tune is uber-important on an SVT.Patalrob wrote:KRYPTO wrote:You do know they are supercharged. The GTP's are my arch nemises.Patalrob wrote:Don't feel bad I had a Boniville SSEI bet me

It's just the stock '03-'04 pump, It's better than the '02 pump.
