Every deck I have ever bought came with the connector that plugs into the back of the deck(usually a black one). The harness that best buy sells are the one that gets connected to that. (usually a gray one). The gray one is then connected to the cars wiring (the plugs that go into the back of the factory stereo). I have installed lots of decks for myself and others and they always came with the wiring. Always.

zx34me wrote:first of all id like to call bullshit on your harness comes with a new deck, i just quit best buy working car audio, dont fucking lie man not worth the internet pissing match. we sold the harness seperatly 20$ get over it, and the only way those rcas will affect you if your running a component set with a amplifier through them, dont try to play me for a fool you guys need to get real. WE NEVER SOLD the harness with the headunit PERIOD call best buy ask. the rcas were cut to test compatibility with a zune and do not affect abitlity to run a amp with the setup. Know something about car audio before you open you ignorant mouth.

Why the hell would you cut the RCA's to test out a Zune? I am thinking you would need something more like this http://www.crutchfield.com/S-DFHWPvfTaF ... 500KCA121B. And I what exactly did you do at Best Buy? Salesman? Installer? Cash Register Bitch? And I am pretty sure the harness that actually plugs into the deck comes with every head unit. Seems like Alpine likes to call it a power cable though.

Not sure if this link will work or not, but pioneer's seem to still come with their wiring harness. https://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pio/ ... al0219.pdf
Note that it doesn't mention the harness being sold separately.

Obviously you will still need to purchase this though. http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Product/ ... ther_items

But the harness that wires to that harness should come with every head unit sold new. If you didn't send him either the original that came with the deck you sold him or the new one that would of came with your new Alpine head unit, then you are just a douche bag. And the cut RCA's story still doesn't make any sense. That and I don't see where you ever mentioned that in any of your posts that they had been cut. What is a person supposed to do when they read the manual and see that model comes with enough preamp outputs so they can use amplifiers on all 4 channels plus subs and then they get damaged goods?

From the information that both parties have provided here, I have to wonder if this is a stolen deck. No alpine wiring harness to provide, cut RCA's, and a possible mismatch on the face. Any pictures of it powered up in your car?

Most decks, don't come with the wiring harness. I've never sold one with them.... most people keep them for the new deck they get. (plus they are cheap things to buy at walmart, about $10)

Cut RCA's... Shouldn't be an issue, it's nothing a few wire connectors couldn't fix.

The deck has a removable face, I'm guessing. Are you sure you are putting it on right?

How do you know the deck is useless and doesn't work when, it sounds like, you haven't even wired it up and installed it?
I'm pretty sure he is talking about the deck side harness that costs a lot more, comes with every new headunit, and is typically not sold at WalMart.

Not to jump on sides, but I'm thinking with Nick on this, Krypto is referring to the actual Alpine wiring harness, not the vehicle adaptor that people buy from WalMart.

The Alpine harness is specicific to Alpine, as is Sony, Pioneer, etc. They usually cost around 50+$ to replace. Very expensive little cable.
I have extra Pioneer cables, but sorry, no Alpine, otherwise I'd hook ya up with it to get the cd player working.

I would think, if ZX34me's new Radio IS brand new, it would have come with a brand new Alpine wiring harness.

I've boughten a fair share of new decks over the years, and EVERY one of them came with a brand new wiring harness for the CD player, just needing to get soldered to the aftermarket wiring adaptor to get plugged into the vehicle harness to prevent cutting any wires.

To me, it seems pretty shady, he wouldn't include that little bit of information into the forsale thread that the Alpine harness is not included. Its like selling set of MOUNTED tires and wheels, with no valve stems. It defeats the purpose of having them mounted.

Like I said, not choosing sides, since I don't know the whole story. But thats just my take on it...

since the deck doesnt accpt a aux input as far rcas or ai net, these were cut to spile into the rear rcas and sen signal from my mini jack to both rcas and through all 4 speakers, didnt work so i bought a new headunit, unit i bought was a display model no wiring harness included, mine was already spliced in, swaped it out, i worked audio install and sales, @ best buy mis comunication not false, you show me a price ill gladly give you some money back for a new alpine harness to shut this up, could have been taken care of in a mature manner, but were beyond that.

Now that is some info that could of been said upfront. Hope this works out for both parties, and I hope the cut RCA's don't give him any troubles. That and I did not realize that model didn't have AInet on it.
