Oh by all means a return (focus is returnless) is much much much better for a Boosted setup. The Focus pump can (from what I've read) handle upwards of 400 - 500 hp easily. Stang guys run dual focus pumps in their setups, as the pickup and reliability far exceeds stock stang pumps. Not sure how the longevity is decreased with a boosted setup, ask Pitch Black, Trahma, Louis Zerr, Co_Macho, 02designs, and anyone else here whos running a boosted setup.
and yes i do know the stock intake mani(zx3) works good for FI, i was getting at what is need to hang a eaton off the side of the head( plastic is not the material of choice here) needs to have some stremph.
Well good thing I'm running a turbo, no weight is put onto the intake that way.
but like i said before i dont know much about turboing. i think its my exper. wiff the turbo greasals and all the problems power strokes see. to me they seem a little sensitive for daily driving( my style of daily driving). ill stick with a blower. ....you know its like this, some guys like skinny, flashy super model girls and some like the girl next door, its all personal preff. on the road a super charger with its right now boost is a better deal, the turbo with it good efficency and higher rpm power production , seems that it would be more track bound.
Depends on which type of blower your running, Centrifical blowers like Trahma's and 02's don't hit boost right away, Same with turbo's, then you get with Roots type blowers (eatons and whipples), but the down side to a roots blower is flat line torque. With a turbo and a proper setup, the torque is endless, ask Louis Zerr on that one, what was is 245ftlbs? and ask Davis whats his at 277ftlbs?
Either way I won't and don't plan on running anything major, to be on the safe side i'll be sticking to around 5 - 7 psi, which if my guess is right should be around 175whp on a 93 oct. and a safe conservative tune.
Not until I can find a cheap second block rebuilt it with forged internals and a better clutch and lsd will I consider going higher. But right now just want to get the parts, mock it up, and then install everything ones I've got the money for a tune saved up.

Dunno about the AC. someone in here can chime in on that one. But I know that Korri had it all test fitted, said something about it being a little off on the DP. Chuck built the mani and DP while everything was installed on the car. So he used the car to mock everything up and test fitted it that way.

The AC comp. is on the front, passenger side of the block.

Well pappy Cleanzx3 didn't have to remove his A/C to do the turbo setup on the car did he? Last time I check neither did Rod or Davis right?

As far as I know, you are correct.
There is a TON of room if you turbo faces off towards the drivers side of the engine bay.

It all depends on where the flange was placed on the log. Was the car used as a jig when the mani was made? Or was it just a shot in the dark?

The car was used. Korri brought his focus into the shop and Chuck built everything and fitted with the focus in hand. Like I said Korri had it all installed and fitted onto his car. But he said something about it being off a little on one of the flanges, that it might need to be cut of and rotated and re-welded. If anything I'll take it to chuck to have he re-do it unless Jeff you want to make some money and help me with it?

Do you know how to weld? Have a mig welder? You buy a box of mandreal bends off ebay in U bends, and cut/tach and make your own, or, you can take your car to an exhaust shop and tell them what you want, but, the exhaust shop will cost some monies. You can buy t-clamps off ebay or from jegs or summit.
FMIC, I'd find a smaller one that came on a car stock, the larger the IC, longer to build boost.

I've used these guys for bends and was happy:

For FMIC ebay will work. OEM intercoolers can be hard to make fit and look nice with there acward inlet/outlet placments.
For couplers I buy a section of radiator hose at NAPA the right diameter and cut them to size with a chop saw. Some of the ricer store couplers loose there shape with heat, but radiator hose last a very long time.
I've got a full plate right now, but maybe in a month or so I could help you out with the install.

Well I wasn't planning on doing the install for a while anyways. I want to buy all the parts. Test fit it. Get the External WG installed. Get the Internal one welded shut. Also need to save up money for tuning.
So really I don't see trying to install this till Late Jan. or early feb. basically after the holidays when money shit settles down again.
