RWD areostar with a stick+++

These vans(caravan) are cheap to maintain, parts are so common, I don't know what shit you speak about the transmission failure, the early 90's where good, the 95-98-ish I belive where the shitty ones, with good maintince that thing will go forever and parts are so cheap and common.

When I walked french lake auto parts, I seen more fords in there then anything else. They had about 20 mn12's, 2 fox body stangs, about 15 rangers, and, prob about 20 ford full size trucks. There where not a lot of chryslers in the bone yard at all, although, there was a turbo dodge in there, full motor/turbo/trans.

I never seen so many fords in my life until I went there :lol:

I don't think justin would ever buy a neon, my 21 speed could take a neon.

I worked at a dealership in Northfield that had Ford, Chrysler and Jeep so I have first hand experience watching these things move through a dealership service department.

This small dealer in a small town had to employ a full time Chrysler transmission tech and he was busty ALL the time, Was there a full time Ford transmission tech? No. Are Fords perfect? No.

Believe me, the Chrysler training was real interesting. They were huge on the term "Normal operating characteristic" The main ploy when someone came in with a complaint was to have them drive another vehicle of the same type to show them that there was really nothing wrong with the horrible squeaks,rattles, howling engine fans and vibrations because they are all "Normal operating characteristics" of the particular vehicle.

I stayed there for 364 days (seriously) before I managed to escape, I earned a whole new respect for Ford and the way they build cars and handle things.

Is Ford perfect? No. They piss me off on a regular basis but please don't tell me that Chrsyler builds/built decent products.

BTW- did I mention that was stupid enough to buy a Plymouth Sundance new back in 1991 and it was the biggest pile of crap that I ever owned, The front of the hood rusted through (holes) within 3 years, the seat belt light was on after the first year and they wouldn't even look at it without me payng a deductible, the A/C only worked at speed on the freeway and the heat was the same way, the washer jets mounted on the wiper arms froze solid all the time requiring me to keep a lighter in the car to thaw them.

It was totaled when I was hit head on (other driver crossed the center line) by a Subaru, The Subie drove away and the Sundance was towed to the scrap yard.
