Your car might be show quality now, but it won't be come March. If I had a garage to put my Focus in for the winter, I would, and still drive on some days. But for the fact that our cars aren't worth storing. That may be true. But I don't care. For the past 2 winters, I stored away my 3grand Talon. Theres just no point in buying a nice car. And making it nicer to just drive around in slosh and fucking salt so the whole underneath of the car rusts away. Before you know, your $7000 car ain't worth shit anyway. I'm sure I won't be able to change your mind on the subject. And you won't be able to do the same for me. We are both right. Cars are made to be driven. But my car isn't made to snow plow the streets.

Oh, and edit:: The car will only be stored for about five months.

If some old hag slid into me it'd be a little more than painting my bumper dontcha think? If you looked at our cars the underside what made for winters, it has a rubber coating through and through on the under side, so what rust am I worreid about, other than the usual things like control arms and crap.

And no I dont think you or anyone could change my mind about driving the car this winter, I'd rather have cash in my pocket and not have to live pay check to paycheck like most ppl here do. agian the only reason I bought this car was because it was already done up, something I'd never do on my own, and it would be fun to drive and decent lookin and performing to boot.

Also you do realize that Focus's aren't work shit in the first place right? and that everthing you do you wont get your moneies out of it in the end right? Just look at Alien (No offense the car is awesome) but he took it stright up the pooper with his car when he sold it to me. We all know he put way more money into the car then he paid for it, and sold it under KBB value, becuase he wasn't going to get what he put into it back.

Nills is I am sure has the same feelings, he bought his car to drive, and is rockin the same kaminari bumper this winter as I, I am sure he has reservations, I know I do, but agian, I've got better things in life then to worry about what happens to a $7k car.

Jelous about what? Why would I want to drive a beatup old POS? If anything I am more pissed off at ppl asking me the same old shit about how I could drive a car like that through the winter. Pretty simple you get in it and drive.

Like I said If I had a car worth parking I would. Yes the car I own has some shit done to it, but agian I didnt pay for a car to park it and continue to pay payments on it, fawk I could got out an pay $3k straight up cash right now on a car to drive in the winter, but will I? no, no need to. Again I just think its asinine, but also funny at the same time, everyone who lives in minnesota bitches about the winters, something they can not control, yet they choose to live here.

Some of us paid for our cars brand new. You may have only paid $7k but I have $13k into the base price, then at least another $5k into my car. I guess I just don't have money to throw around. We all drive our cars for different reasons. I have the joy of turning an economy car that is made fun of by most people, into a car where I hear people say "damn, that's the only Focus I'd drive". I have the joy of the watching the guy driving his GSX with his girlfriend look at me with bewilderment when I pull on him with 3 people in my car and a hatch full of records. Then when I get home, I close the nitrous bottle and remind myself that I built my car. I put in 95% of the wrench time on my car and can account for every single part on it. I didn't build my car to hold it's value and sell it like its a financial investment. I built my car to drive it in the environment it's built to be driven in. If I wanted to snow cross it, or had the intentions of driving it in the winter, it wouldn't be as low as it is right now.

As far as Nils goes, I've talked with him plenty of times and he wants to park his car, its a financial decision for him to drive his car. Just like it was for me last year and the years before. I don't expect you to understand my decision, or o2designs decision to park our cars. If you're that thick skulled where you can't understand maintaining an investment, you never will. You're the one that came into this thread and took a shit. If you don't like it, it's too fucking bad because it's not your money spent, so don't fucking worry about it.

Dude I fully understand about how much time and effor you, O2, and Dave (Alien) put into the cars, and it is comendable, I guess what hit me in a sore spot was that O2 was already bitching about not being able to drive his car and there isn't even any fucking snow on the ground yet, I guess I just dont want ppl to make me feel sorry for them when it was their choice to store their vehicle and can't or in your case's wont drive it in the winter.

I guess it is also a financial situation myself but for different reasons, Like is said before I dont like living pay check to pay check and would rather be able to be a little more fruigle with my money. If I wanted to be broke and not have any money at the end of the day I'd have a bran new third vehicle in my garage/driveway was well.

Sorry I brought anything up, I guess I have different priorities in life, that doesnt revolve around my car. You all are great fun to hang out with and BS about cars and look at what each of you are putting into your cars, that might be were the jelousy part may come into play, but far from wanting to drive a beat over the winter or anything like that.

well agian sorry for bringing anything up.

Hey man, no hard feelings on this end. I really don't take serious over 90% of the BS that gets written on the interent. Everyone shares there own opinions. I'm with you on, yes I am kind of bitching about the car gone and no snow. If it were up to me, it would'nt go into storage untill Dec1st. But my dad has to be a shithead about it. But also the fact, it would be cheaper for me to buy a 200$ - $300 dollar car. That would be cheaper then having to buy a new set of tires for the winter and having them installed and all that BS. This way, I get this crapper, drive the piss out of it, could care less what happens to it, and come March, I have a beatiful Focus I can drive all summer long thats not all beat up front salt and plowing streets. Plus, in the past, after the winter, I can sell the beater for double or triple the amount paid if does survive the winter. If you were worried about money, this is prob a cheaper route in the long run if you add it up. But don't worry about, no hard feelings. The point of this thread was just to show off what I'll be rocking this winter instead of the Focus.
