many would say its anything that adds to the looks of a car without adding to the "performance" of a car. others would say its fine as long as the the looks arn't "tack" or done badly.
i think of rice as the general fade movement of people who alter their cars in many diffrent ways but also in the same general way that has come up over the last few years. the defining word is "fade" its something they do because its what they feel they are supposed to do to be "cool, hip, etc". you might say its when people do something that lacks soul. but i wouldn't go quite that far. cause i think someone can enjoy altering a car without having to live the lifestyle day in day out.
that being i think the most important question is. are you a hater? if you rag on someone elses ride no matter how stupid, pointless or horrid it may be. you may very well become a ricer.

to me the term ricey or rice is dead. I don't even knoe why people still use that term i think the term should just be "F*CKED UP" because sometimes people's ride just look f*cked up. is a HKS a fart can?

horay!, as of sat. my car is no longer rice , I broke the lenses off of my Altezza's and put the stock ones back on. just my opinion after the fact, the stock tails look really nice!

OK, ok maybe it's just the altezza's, but I like the crome color with the malibu blue.. Maybe I should replace Trahma's taillights with altezzas when he's at work, I'm sure he'd like that.

Really to me, rice is just unpainted/ducktaped on body parts. The rest is up in the air because I never get to look under their hoods before the mad bees chase them off into the distance. bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

thats crule.. i agree ricey is dead.. although i did see a car the other day at work .. that is ricey im sorry , some one put a lot of money and time into it , but it looked like a straight up hmong rocket. and hks is a fart tube if it is biger than 3inches

theres a civic or accord that I see driving around my work with a white hood and doors baby blue body kit(spray painted) with a huge paper machet sharkfin on the hood. The ugliest car I've ever seen
