i think those parts alone would cover the buy back price.

but you know with your options and the SAP they may not total it
prolly looking like $3500ish if it's just the body

Adjuster nwill be here tomorrow. bodyshop said the rocker under the drivers door is damaged and the rear door wont open due to the rear quarter being worse than first thought, after the adjuster gets there they are gonna rip panels off to see what lies beneath....

I don't believe that car is even close to being totaled. Probably neede at least $5-6000 more damage to come near totaling.

actually, it was close. if airbags would have gone it was toast.
6100 was the total with new parts which was just below their threshold for a total. But had to do some talking with the adjuster, sd has a 5000 title damage disclosure.... which basically would have made the car worth nothing for trade in.
My insurance requires any used body parts be from the same year or newer. being mines an 07 and the body style changed in 08, that was pretty much impossible since mine also came from the factory without side molding (no holes in doors). they were only able to locate a rear door in "A" shape. But that also brought it down to slightly over 4900. which also keeps the disclosure off.
They have yet to start tearing panels off it to see whats underneath. I have a feeling judging by the fender, the air intake system has some damage also.

By the way, I did end up getting a piece of that bucks ass. When they cut the windshield out today they found about 4" of the broken tine from his rack. So I now have a souvenir (like the damage wasn't enough).

Haven't reported in awhile...
Not good news after they pulled the windshield and fender... more damage. the tally is at 6000 now.
dash, pillar moulding, and a couple other things. the dash is due to scrapes from the windshield busting as well as glass being embeded in it. pillar molding is due to the winshield cutting the hell out of it. oh, and the air intake tube got crushed between the fender and upper frame rail.

The cost is now well over 6000...
lets see, heres the list so far.
Hood, fender, driver door, back door, repair light damage to rear quarter, repair rocker damage, front wheel well liner, driving light, a-pillar cover, dash, windshield, air intake tube that runs behind fender, vent visors, mirror, wiper arm, wiper blade, d/s cowl cover.
Thats all I can think of off hand. Looks like I'll be keeping it awhile now once the parts get in and it;s fixed..

Well, got the car back the 31 of Dec.
Pretty much put it in the garage until saturday (it was to nice and clean to get dirty...lol). Saturday I took it for a nice long drive to Albertville for a friends deployment party. Not a problem with it except I need to pull the fan motor and clean the glass out (the noise is really annoying, kinda like a screeching / grinding noise). Other than that just some minor wind noise from the drivers door which will be taken care of when its readjusted. Has a couple small parts still being waited on, but nothing major.
Oh, and the steeda cai really woke the car up big time... I thought I just broke the tires loose until I smelled the rubber and got off it...lol (this folks with an auto) had me going theres no f'n way that just did that...
