No, not yet. But I will be taking it soon and I am REALLY excited about it.
I am planning on changing professions soon and inbetween professions, taking about four weeks off to take the permit test then the safety course for my license. AND RELAX!!!!
I am excited to test drive some rides after getting my license to see what style and size fits what I am looking for.
P.S. I haven't had more than two consecutive weeks off in the last 10 years.

I did alot of research on entry level sportbikes 2 years ago when I bought my 2001 SV650s. They are a good beginner bike with plenty of power for around town. Unlike the ridiculous powerbands of inline-4 sport bikes, the v-twin on sv's has a smooth power delivery, making it much easier to manage for a beginner. If you decide to go with a Suzuki SV I would look for a 2003 or newer which all have EFI, so no choking! If your looking to doing more hyway riding I would opt for the SV650S model with a decent fairing. Sv's also have a considerably softer suspension than most sportbikes which gives you the versatility to make longer trips. If you crave more power go for a power commander and exhaust/filter which will amp up the fun quite a bit.
I grew up on dirt bikes and have rode parents Harleys out to Sturgis before I even had my bike but what also drew me to an SV was the cheap insurance.
I average near 50 mpg with mine and can do 130mph.
Something to think about!
