It's got a new transmission in it
From the warranty report,
Cust Comments: CUSTOMER STATES THAT THERE IS A HOLE IN THE TRANSMISSION AND THERE IS FLUID LEAKING ON THE GROUND. TOWED IN.
Tech Comments: INSPECT AND FOUND THAT PRESSURE PLATE CAME APART AND PUNCHED HOLES IN TRANSMISSION,BELL HOUSING,BROKE BATTERY COVER,CRANK SENSOR & DAMAGED REAR MAIN & HOOD.REPLACED TRANS,BATTERY COVER,REAR MAIN & REPAIRED HOOD,REPLACED COOLER LINES.M TIME TO TEAR PART WAY DOWN AND FOUD OUT NO PARTS AVAILABLE FOR TRANS.

i guess it is good having a dealership employee in our midst. what could cause the catastrophic failure? does it say when it was done?

Could you imagine driving down the road and that happening all of the sudden?!? Hopefully they replaced the driver's seat upholstery while they were at it.
I went to take another look yesterday afternoon and the car's gone.

at 4 grand the shrapnel wount knock a hole in it, but a 65 hundo side step will most likely granade it into oblivioun.

It's back on the lot! And now I can say beyond any doubt that the checkered flag is painted on. There's some bleeding around the edges and a couple spots of over spray.
The ebay sale topped out around $5500 but the high bidder didn't meet the reserve so it was a no-sale.
