Look at the bright side though, it was the end of the driving season at least, when I popped mine it was the start of June (Now that sucked ass....).
Plus, it is great to get it built up and better than before.
Atleast you had a decent beater loaned to you for a week.

(and also when you got some other work done like a year later too, lol)

Hey, if you need some unskilled labor, I'd be happy to help. Always fun to learn something.

Hey thanks everyone for the offers of help and parts. Way cool. Exactly why I like this site, and didn't even bother on FF where they would have simply said ha-ha you noob.
I'd like to tear it open saturday. I would provide plenty of eats, etc of course. Anyone game?

I'm there, but I have class until noon-ish. Fall meet?

Ouch, Sorry to hear it Chris.
Fix it and drive it, and I'm sure this has crossed your mind but next time get it dynotuned. Remote tuning for FI never made any sense to me.

Ha-ha, there ya go. The November meet!
Steve, I kept hearing how good the tuning was supposed to be from them, plus it was all included in the price. At this point, I don't think it was the tuning, but rather that hose that fell off.
Let's go boating.

It's entirely possible it was just the hose, FS does have a very good reputation and I'd go with their tune for my car if I had the money for it.ch435 wrote:tgnorman wrote:I'm there, but I have class until noon-ish. Fall meet?

It just seems risky remote tuning FI, I suppose they just start out real safe and then tweak it as you send them log files.
Let me know what you find when you get the head off of it.

Ok, I think I will be working on this saturday. Anyone who wants to come is welcome, whether to help, or just observe and learn. I may start a little during the week, mostly prep for the major stuff saturday. And again, I'll provide something to munch on. (prob pizza or the like)
If you need directions, just let me know.
