I know it is an EAP which is better than a zx3 because it is an EAP but even though it is an EAP I still have the same crappy susp. quality as any other stock non EAP focus. It would be impossible for an EAP to lose decades of pedigree because the EAP has the pedigree bread into them from the factory and the EAP has not been around for decades even though the EAP should have been. LMAO!!!

The susp. its not the same, and if you drive your car(EAP) on the snow and dont want to be plowing snow just live it the way it is...

im in the same boat here, its not all the time and is just on the passenger front side, i leaning more over the endlinks, but before i do something i want to be sure because im going to have this done under warranty...

My right side sounds like a bushing is missing when hitting bumps and the left side rubs on the fender and it already rubbed off a part of my splash guard so I don't want it rubbing the paint on the fender next. So I have to fix something because I can't seem to find out what is really wrong. I was told while driving my front end seems to bounce more then it should so I am going off of that and the rubbing of the fender.

Bad end links won't cause rubbing, broken springs or shot dampers will.

Crazy, if you're front end clunk is typically below 35 or so then it's end links. You probably do need struts as well if you're bottoming on one side.

My car does fine in the snow with the lowering springs, it's not a snow plow.

I have complete stock SVT suspension kits in stock with preassembled front struts in the box for $286.00 if you just want to freshen it up.

Thanks steve, The springs are not broken and I really want to lower my car 1.5" or so. I was on tire rack and they have Eibach Pro-Kit Spring Set for $200.00 and Eibach Pro-Damper Set for $300.00 which gives me an Avg Low 1.4"F 1.5"R. But was wondering what people think of Eibach??

I used to have Eibach Pro's on my hatch. Very good setup. I loved it.

Great just what I wanted to hear. I was really thinking of getting this set up but no one mentioned Eibach so I was not sure how good they were on a focus because I have the springs on my 92 escort gt but it is totally diff from my foci. So thanks alot for your input!

I'm actually going back to Eibach's on my wagon...I'm using my old springs on the front, and going custom in the rear...So its definetly a good setup.

Eibach is a good name, Thats going to be a pretty dramatic drop. You'll be about a 1/2 inch lower than mine.

On the wife's car it was a broken spring. It wouldn't make any noise once you got above 35 for some reason. It was about 1/3 of the bottom coil that was broken off. I also couldn't tell that was the problem until I took the whole thing apart to replace the strut. I figure that may be a long shot, but it's worth checking.

Very common, I loved seeing this when I was an auto tech, they took 20 min. to replace and I got payed for a couple of hours of work.
