take your clear and add some paint to it to tint it and add your flex ,scuff lightly and shoot....bingo bango you got body color lights that a bulb will back light.tgnorman wrote:how'd you do the body colored ones?
Thanks, that is what I was thinking either that or painting the rear of the housing using clear lens to allow the red to filter through. The big issue will be finding the right color bulb-or more likely LED to mix with the Red to make orange that the popo won't have an issue with.focinite wrote:take your clear and add some paint to it to tint it and add your flex ,scuff lightly and shoot....bingo bango you got body color lights that a bulb will back light.tgnorman wrote:how'd you do the body colored ones?
You sure are full of it lately young man....o2designs wrote:Green Bulbs....
I'll be putting green bulbs in my Chinese taillights on Chromie so the signals are orange. Just a heads up...
Okay, I believe you and I believe you are neck deep in the dubs also. Primary mixing colors for light are Red, Green, and Blue makes perfect sense.o2designs wrote:No, I'm dead serious...Green Light Bulbs...
Its a VW trick people run in their Corrados. Since they tint the taillights all red, they use green bulbs to make the signal orange....
Don't under estimate my VW knowledge. I sometimes sound like I'm talking outta my ass, but I actually know what I'm doing sometimes...LOL(not often)
Red tinted lenses...
Green bulbs...
Green Bulb on right, white bulb on left. As you can see, orange indicators....
