Go to school and minor in business or something. Then get into the laundry business and maybe some day start another business that is CS related.

I agree with Rob. I went to school, got a degree and a job. Then I moved. You just cant make any money wrenching up here in the woods, unless you work at a dealership which wont hire you without the 2 years experience, so I work in a factory like the rest. What good does the schooling do me without the required experience?focinite wrote:]
yeah i spose, but hay look at me, 2 tech degrees, one welding and one ford asset, and i work at tires plus!!! get the degree first and fore most, then get the laundry done. if i hade a chance to get my own business id jump on it like it were a trampoline!!! i hate having the man tell me my bidness!!!
I have a degree (a BA), and I graduated with honors (cum laude). It has yet to help me get a job. A degree doesn't guarantee anything.FORDSVTPARTS wrote:Come on Rob, A degree is everything. It doesn't even matter if it applies to the field you work in as long as you can wave the little piece of paper showing you went to school.focinite wrote:if it were myself, id stick with a safe bet. laundry must be done!!! computers....who knows, but as long as there are people there will be laundry!!. soon youll see that a friend will be there no matter the distance, and fun time is now comming to an end. if the laundry biz is solid and will make money( the more the better) then why not? from what i hear , the computer indistry is starting to fill up and the need for entry level techs is going away. the same happened to me with welding, i went to school and got out , found out that most(95%) places wanted at least 2 years on job exper. so cant get a job cus i got no exper, cant get exper, cus i cant get a job!! the IT industry is alot like this from the people ive talked to. soo id go with the safe, and profitable, bet.
Thats one of the things that drives me insane, you can be a complete imbecile and as long as you have a degree you can get a great paying job.![]()
Get the degree and then go for the gravy job at the laundry, trust me.
