thats funny!!!! its proven that the svt in full trim is still 3 tenths faster than the st in the 1/4. and on the high way!!! lets go up to um 145 mph and lift ill wait for you to catch up!!!!! the st has good grunt but the svt has mechanical advantige( 1. a six speed 2. 20 more horse 3 more aerodynamic) and shit yeah i wanna line up to a auto, i wanted to do a good auto set up, then got smart and swaped in a standered........lets roll man!!!!!!!!!

ahem #3 would be wrong, I have read in many places that the design of the hatchback causes more drag than most designs and I got this off FJ to show you, I can come up with more 8) the sedan is much more aerodymnamic than the hatch, the design of the hatch causes a swirling vortex which gives the car more drag and thus slows the car down.

"C/D
Hatch = 0.36
Sedan = 0.31
Wagon = 0.30"

wow 20 more hp big deal. i have a big ass wing in the back thats good for like 30 more hp.... lol i had to put that in.

you should ask all the blue foci owners on why the blue ones seem like factory freeks?!?!? and yes i know about the swirl. id like to run that st this summer loxx!!! i know where you hang so youll be seeing me soon( in the summer time) :twisted:

Let me break this down for you. Ill make it simple. I said what I said because thats what I have experience racing other focus. Not because of some bs I read in a magazine. I ran a svt focus both in my old car and new one. In the old one we raced from a dig. I had an cold air intake 4 into 1 headers and exhaust. stock cat cause I just got it back after I messed up the old one. He had a cold air intake and T/B. Anyway it was neck and neck the hole race. we raced just short of a 1/4 mile. But top end he had me hands down. As for racing one with my new car. I ran one on the freeway and I had him by about a foot or two. not much but I was ahead. That was when I was stock. dont know what he had. Saying your going to beat my because you have 20 more hp and 6 gears is dum. Its more than that. It comes down to alot of things. I ran a rsx type s. that says it has 200 hp and a 6 speed, and they cat run with my car or and svt. It comes down to mods, type of road,what shape the road is in. And most of all it comes down to driver experience and skill. The only thing that I have seen that would help take the win time and time again is torque and larger displacement. And I do have you on both, if you want to state facts. And as for racing me ill be waiting. All you have to do is find me. :twisted:

oh yeah as for racing an auto.I have ran john in his auto with intake ,Throttle Body ,spark plugs, spark plug wires,4 into 2 into 1 headers with no cat,full exhaust,chip stage 4 cams. The funny thing is he was faster when it was an auto. Because the transmission made the rpms stay in that sweet spot where he got the most power from the cams. so even if I got him off the line he would pull when he hit that spot in the rpms. after he past it or before he hit it. our cars where the same. Then we he put in the 5 speed. he got slower, but im shure its because at the time he was not that good at driving a 5 speed.
