Thank you Pat! Finally a viable option. They give a lot of choices too on rods. I also saw a 2.3 for 1,995 in there too. Which do you think would be best? What rods to you think?

I'm trying to steer you away from the other source of performance parts LOL

The rods seems to be eagle rods have been proven well.

Also keep in mind the short block doesn't have your head and some other parts.

Steve might be able to get you a good deal on the FRPP duratec head. Part # M-6049-D23P

Also a dirrerential would be nice but seeing as you don't get on it to hard you might not need one but not a bad idea eather. I believe Steve would be able to get you a Diff also.

With the power you plan on making also I would strongly suggest getting a stage 3 clutch and Aluminiun flywheel

All these are just ideas I have thrown out there for you :D

Can't wait for the Saleen to be back on the road. Lets hook the No2 back up too

Yup, I know I need the head and intake. A clutch would be nice, but that's another $800, and we all know I'll never wear out the stock one.

Ok, I've made up my mind. I'm going with a 2.0 from F2. They have one with forged rods and pistons for $1755. Plus they will sell me a stage 2 excedy clutch for $770. If I had gone with a 2.3, it would have been $2200, plus another 400 for the head, plus another 300-400 for cams, plus another 200-700 for an intake. I just couldn't justify all that. Plus, this way, I have $ left to buy the clutch. :D

Now I'm just wondering if the cossie intake would be worth it. Can't see any other options between cossie and stock. What kind of gains would I get?

I'd like to. But F2 can't get anymore, and cossie stopped making them. Focus Sport has them for $695. Still debating it. You like em, say it will be good for the car, (and it would look cool I think), others aren't sure about em. They must improve performance somewhat, as they require a new tune when installed.

I must concur. The Cossie manifold is all about goodness. $695 is a price, but the engineering is unquestionable. Now about that big valve head, if you find the extra $3k.....

Well, I put my name on the waiting list for the intake through Focus Sport. They are out as well, but are taking names for when they come in.
