I found me a new toy to work on.
Thoughts?
Now that the SVTC is gone...

missing the front fuel tank and has a vacuum leak. its in the shop now getting looked at. picked up a set of wheels and tires off craigslist for it. 33 super swampers.
I'm kinda off on the hood scoops. I wont take them off right now because they kind of look good, but they WILL come off when I get another hood and vent it myself. haha

Nice truck, lose the scoops.
Unless you need to go long distances and really need the 2nd tank I'd leave it off, I know why it's gone, it's due to the switching system and it's expensive to fix and generally a pain in the rear.
BTW-Lose the scoops.

I was actually thinking of throwing the 30 gal from the 99+ on it.FORDSVTPARTS wrote:Nice truck, lose the scoops.

and yea I am planning on losing the scoops... in the spring when I pick up some bondo so i can vent the hood myself.
Got the tires on though, and the exhaust mostly fixed. Just need to find an eec iv code reader and figure this crap out.

99+ is really only like 25 gallon tank tops. I don't think I've ever put more than 21ish into mine.Stilz wrote:I was actually thinking of throwing the 30 gal from the 99+ on it.

Also, I think you can read eec iv codes with a paperclip/wire and counting how many times the CEL flashes. Try reading into that, I don't think you need a scanner.
