I have a 07 SE ZX3 Automatic trans. Seems like it won't go into gear at all. I drove home Wednesday night and pulling into the garage felt like I was pushing something. Backed up and no i wasn't. Next day couldnt get it into. Reverse. Any ideas?

I'm going to start with the obvious, was it full of fluid? Does the fluid smell burnt at all?

It was full of fluid. Fluid didn't smell burnt. Went as far as changing the fluid and filter. No excessive shavings in thee pan.

Solenoids?

Would bad solenoids prevent me from getting the car into gear? I'm still under warranty. Haven't been able to contact tousleys service department because of the holiday weekend.

Could be a bad cable/linkage but since it's under warranty I would them diagnose it.

Anyone know if warranty would cover getting the car to tousley. I'm in albertville car isn't driveable and towing will be outrageous.

I'd check with the service advisor before towing.

Not to undermine your answer Dave but I think Ford might have limits based on proximity to other Ford dealerships so it may have to go to one that's closer.

you are correct steve. Ford will pay to have it towed to the closest dealership to where the vehicle is at. We had a new f150 ecoboost break down up by Mills Ford and the customer wanted it towed to tousley, but ford would not pay for it. Tousley ended up paying the bill to have it towed to us. they probably not do that in this situation. That truck had 350 miles on it and it got a complete motor

I had two gears reverse not one of em. Tranny should be sitting on a work bench at tousley. Picked up a courtesy car this morning. A 2010 focus 4 Dr. Liking it, but really prefer the hatch.
