audi a4 quattro 1.8T sedan

Non Focus discussion. Pretty much other cars and off topic stuff.

I do go through cars fast... I know. I don't really know why though.

In this situation, I'm getting fed up with my wife not liking this car. The audi seems to be a pretty sweet little car and it isn't known as a lesbo/butch car, so that's good. ;)

the civic is super fun to drive and has really really low miles...but the extra cash would be nice.

Who knows. Maybe he won't come through anyways. Either way I end up with a sweet vehicle.

To answer your question, the audi is up to date on service.

It's hard to pass on $5k pocketed and a nice ride. I'm sure that Civic Si is a blast to thrash. There probably isn't much of a difference in insurance. I would wonder about reliability. And the Civic would probably give you better value in the long run. But, if the wife is wrecking your ears, there's a problem worth solving.

T-belt service is due at 80,000-90,0000. It's an expensive job, mostly labor. You have to remove the whole front of the car, head lights, bumper, and radiator, it's a "fun" job. So keep that in mind. The KO3 turbos that come on these cars burn out often, so if that does go, I recommend replacing it with the KO4 turbo.

If you have questions, or want advice on the car, go to eurowerks.org. It's a local forum to the Twin Cities, and a bunch of really good guys.

She does'nt like the Audi? Its a much more grown up vehicle, probably rides alot better, and its quieter inside. Whats not to like? I'd still prefer the Audi, and these A4's was actually the other car I was looking at when I bought my GLi (I would have preferred a S4 tho)

I think he means his wife doesn't like the Civic.

If you get the Audi, you gotta dump those wheels tho, they are gross.

Well there's your problem, stay off craigslist and maybe you'll be able to keep a car for 6 months.

Don't buy from ride auto in the cities...buyer beware!!! The si shoulda been a salvage vehicle. It had been in three accidents, one severe. The real carfax showed it all. The dealer I was at showed me where the car. Was tweaked, the frame was bent.....ill write more later....wife needs me.

Anyways.... I didn't buy the Audi. The inevitable maintenance costs scared me away. I got another 8th gen civic instead. The wife likes it, so thats good. It's not a racer though. It's exactly the opposite.

But, with my new job, i drive like 50 miles a day, so this will be a good switch for me. I got 52mpg on the way home from the cities last night. that was pretty cool.

Thanks for all the feedback and SERIOUSLY... Buyer Beware!! Ride Auto Sales is very very sketchy.

52 mpg is awesome. That's motorcycle mileage.

the 1.8t by itself is alright... but burns through turbos, and are expensive.
but the 1.8t awd= slow, and lots of it.
