400hp non-intercooled kit with tuning $4885.00 for auto or manual trans.

475hp intercooled kit with tuning $6395.00 for automatic trans.

550hp intercooled kit with tuning $6395.00 for manual trans.

Those are for the black finish kits, you can figure about another $400.00 for polished.

The Whipple kits are incredibly well engineered and the blower itself is virtually bulletproof, we sell about 40 a year and I'm not aware of a single failure, the FRPP tuning is also spot on and safe.

And if you want to push it past 550hp, I can sell you an Aluminator forged short block for $3200.00 8)

Yep, I'm a BAD influence :D

550 is about it for the stock rotating assembly, I do know of a local guy that's making like 497 at the wheels on a 2010 GT so it'll hold a bit more than the 550hp that FRPP considers safe.

550HP at the crank equates to about 440whp so the guys probably making a bit over 600chp on his 2010.

The weak link is really the rods. With the FRPP Aluminator the skies the limit, I've seen guys make upwards of 1000 hp of those internals but that's also with four valve heads and pushing better than 32 psi with a turbo setup.

So I guess the answer is that the 550 kit should be fairly safe as long as you stick with a safe tune (FRPP tune is perfect) and don't beat the living daylights out of it all the time.

I saw you were asking around on MNFORDS, I'd suggest asking on ModularFords to get more opinions as there's a LOT more guys on there that can tell you about the kits.
