I bought a 97 tahoe (other than the paint, in good shape) for a winter / hunting / fishing rig... I couldn't pass the price up.
Well, just getting back from Iraq in july. I didn't know they changed the plate laws here... they stay with the person now.
well, the tahoe had plates, i didn't know this new info, and Of all things i get pulled over for not staying in the near lane while making a right ?!?!?!?! I had to go get temps till my new ones come.
now whats stupid about this you may ask? well for starters no plates now. they give you a temp permit which is half a sheet of paper you tape in your lower right windshield... to me thats asenine and asking to get pulled over. especially if i drive into mn or nd.... :?

that piece of paper goes in your back window to show you've applied for plates...

I've had that piece of paper in my window, and I never got stopped. Hell, while I had that piece of paper in my window, I rocked a euro plate for a month, never got hasstled...
