Shaving side moldings on a Focus?

Non Focus discussion. Pretty much other cars and off topic stuff.

Anyone done it? I'm thinking of popping out the moldings and shaving the indents flush. I'll probably have a photochop up in the next couple days, I'd like some opinions.

It doesn't look good. It needs the body line....

Out of curiosity, why not? I realize it's a ton of work, but I think the results may be worth it.

I'm looking to do a bit cleaner appearance.

I don't mind it, however don't let people tell you what you should do. It's your car, do it the way you want to. :D

I think it looks fine with the molding removed (05-07 S model style) but the line does tie in the 2 wheel arches a bit.

I want it done too, but I want a twist, pull the fenders and roll the body line out (seen it once and I liked it). Color makes a big difference IMO.

I say do it. Who gives a shit if someone else doesn't like it, it's your car.

I think I remember that car. It looked good because everything else (bumpers, hatch. etc.) was shaved.
